These are not in any kind of order as I love them all equally even though they are all very different scents. I tend to go for strong, sweet fragrances; the type to attract attention when you walk into a room.
Michael Kors - Midnight Shimmer
I had never owned a Michael Kors perfume before working in Superdrug. I think it came in as part of a promotion and as soon as I tested it, I knew I had to buy it.
I said before that I tend to go for sweet scents, however this is definitely more of a soft musk. With vanilla, jasmine and wood notes, I would definitely say this is a winter/autumn evening scent.
I love the bottle; I think it is classy and elegant, much like the scent which is long lasting and has quite moderate sillage in my opinion.
I tend to wear this when I am going to dinner or going somewhere where I have dressed up as this fragrance definitely suits special occasions.
Mugler - Alien
This fragrance is strong, with good longevity and decent sillage; with main notes being jasmine, amber and woods. I love its unusual scent as it is nothing like any of the other perfumes I own, however I love it just as much.
I tend to wear this when I am going out as it definitely catches attention, plus the price tag makes me want to preserve it and not waste it doing everyday activities such as going to work or going shopping haha.
The bottle definitely suits the name; I love the colour, design and the fact that it does resemble something out of this world.
Lancome - Tresor Midnight Rose
This is a very sweet and fruity scent - perfect for any time of the year and suits both day and night. It is so versatile which is probably one of the reasons why it is one of my everyday choices; along with the fact that it lasts all day and the price tag isn't too steep.
I have been using this perfume since it came out back in 2011. This is when I started really getting into perfumes and trying to find what my signature scent was. A couple of my close friends loved it and have been wearing it ever since as well. I will always repurchase this perfume because I am still as obsessed with it as I was back then.
The bottle is elegant and sophisticated, matching the scent completely. Don't think that because it is a sweet and fruity scent that it is for young girls, because under the berry and floral notes lie vanilla, soft musk and woody notes; making the fragrance very sophisticated and therefore suitable for all ages.
Burberry - Weekend
I found my love for this perfume when I was going through my Mum's collection probably around 10 years ago. It is quite a floral and zesty scent, with woody and musky base notes, making it the perfect spring/summer daytime fragrance.
I normally wear this when I go on day trips up to London or when I am going somewhere and I have dressed up a bit and want to add a little extra class and sophistication. I do get quite a few compliments from friends and family when I wear this perfume as it lasts a long time and has very good sillage.
The bottle definitely resembles maturity and class, as does the fragrance itself, which will most likely mean it will be a staple in my perfume collection for many years to come.
YSL - Mon Paris
Another sweet, fruity scent, perfect for the daytime or chilled night plans. It is strong and intense, lasts all day and has good sillage. With a huge mix of berry, citrus and floral notes and vanilla and woody base notes, it is a very versatile scent which I mainly wear to work or on days out.
This was the first fragrance that I bought after a long break and it really got me back into trying different scents again. I loved it as soon as I tested it and the price isn't too bad for the size or quality that you get. This is my first YSL fragrance but I will definitely be repurchasing it and most likely trying the others that they have to offer.
The bottle is cute and definitely suits the daytime vibe that the fragrance represents.
